More information about Lake McQueeney

Lake McQueeney is located on the Guadalupe River between New Braunfels and Seguin. Developed in 1925 as a source of hydroelectric power for the town of McQueeney, this small (400 acre) lake quickly became a popular spot for recreation and summer homes.

Residents and vacationers alike enjoy water skiing, jet skiing, boating and fishing. The lake is abundant with large mouth bass, spotted bass, white crappie and catfish.

A wonderful variety of homes are situated on the banks of the lake. Cozy vacation homes sit comfortably among large, modern homes. A small area of the lake, known as Treasure Island, is an enclave of exclusive, upscale homes with water access.

Living on Lake McQueeney is like being on vacation every day of the year.

Every year, residents around Lake McQueeney get together for the 4th of July to show their patriotism with a special boat parade. Click here for a July 4th Boat Parade slide show.
